Solia Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Solia is a booking and shoot-day app for wedding photographers. This policy explains what happens to information in the app.

Who we are

Solia is made by FOP Chernukhin Ivan Serhiiovych (ФОП Чернухін Іван Сергійович), trading as Alacrity, Kyiv, Ukraine.

The short version

Everything you enter in Solia stays on your phone. There is no account and no Solia server. Two things leave your device automatically, and neither contains anything you have typed: a crash report when the app goes wrong, and a check of whether you have a Solia Pro subscription.

What stays on your device

Your jobs, your clients’ names and contact details, venues, fees, invoices, contracts, running orders, reference photos and your business details are stored on your phone. We never receive them and cannot see them.

Android’s own backup. If you have Android backup turned on, Android may copy Solia’s data — but not your reference photos — to your own Google account, so it can be restored if you change or lose your phone. Solia only allows this when Android can encrypt the backup end to end with your phone’s screen lock, so neither Google nor we can read it. If your phone has no screen lock, Solia is left out of the backup. You control this in your phone’s backup settings, and you can delete the backup from your Google account at any time.

Uninstalling the app deletes the data on your phone.

When you export a PDF or a backup file and share it — by email, messenger or any other app — it goes where you send it. We do not receive a copy.

Solia asks you for one permission: to show notifications. Photos are added through your phone’s system photo picker, so Solia only ever gets the photos you choose, never access to your photo library.

What we collect: crash reports

When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a crash report to our crash reporting provider so we can find and fix the problem. A report contains:

A crash report does not contain your clients’ details or anything else you entered, screenshots, your name, your email address, or an advertising identifier. We have configured our provider not to store IP addresses.

Why: to keep the app working. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in finding and fixing faults (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who processes it: Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), with data stored in its EU region in Frankfurt, Germany.

How long: crash reports are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted.

Purchases and subscriptions

Solia Pro is sold through Google Play. Google processes your payment under its own privacy policy, and we never receive your card or payment details.

To know whether your subscription is active, Solia uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States). Each time the app opens, and when you buy or restore a subscription, it contacts RevenueCat with:

It never receives your clients’ details or anything else you have entered in the app, and no advertising identifier.

Why: to give you the subscription you paid for, including on a new phone, and to understand how many people subscribe. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for the counting, our legitimate interest in running the business (Article 6(1)(f)).

Where: RevenueCat stores this data in the United States. The transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in RevenueCat’s data processing terms.

How long: for as long as the subscription records are needed to provide and account for it. Ask us and we will have RevenueCat delete them — include your Google Play order number, because nothing else links those records to you.

Your clients’ data

If you use Solia to keep details about your own clients, you are responsible for that data under data protection law. Solia keeps it on your device and does not share it with us or anyone else.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to object to its processing. Because crash reports are not linked to your name or account, we usually cannot tell which reports came from you — but write to us and we will help as far as we can. For subscription records, your Google Play order number lets us find them. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Solia is a tool for professionals and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
